Nicole started learning piano when she was 6 years old after her Grandma (who's maiden name was "Tinka") gave her a small colourful keyboard for her birthday. Due to her Grandma's encouragement and Mother's persistance she continued to have lessons for 11 years at the Fremantle Music School.
Nicole also learnt the massive double bass in high school which led to continuing her music studies at the WA Academy of Performing Arts completing her Bachlor of Music degree in 1996.
Because of her interest in music therapy she was led to working with the elderly as a music specialist for 3 years and loved witnessing the power of music do its' magic every day.
She started teaching Simply Music in 2006 because she LOVED the fact that this method could gift people the skills to PLAY the piano easily and quickly so they too can experience the benefits of creating, playing and listening to music.
After 4 years of teaching she then put her energy into her other business SoundBirth and homeschooling her 4 children.
Nicole is now extra keen to start teaching again because she knows from personal experience how therapeutic playing the piano really is and wishes everyone could have such a tool to draw on in their every day lives.
