I have always been passionate about music. I was very involved in music during my childhood. My parents were both music teachers and I took traditional piano lessons for six years and was involved in band, choir and many ensembles at school. I was also the accompanist for the children's music time at my church.
After high school, I went on to receive my bachelor's degree in education and my master's degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I served children and their families for 13 years in the public schools until I decided to stay home until my youngest went to school.
Once I discovered Simply Music, I knew that teaching piano would be a great way to take my passion for music with my experiene in education and do something I love! After completing the training and becoming a Certified Simply Music teacher in 2011, I've been teaching at my in-home studio and loving every minute of it!
